This knife maker resides in an Area in Southern Africa very well known as the “Cradle of Humankind”. Which was declared a World Heritage Site in December 1999.

Therefore it is not unusual that the widest and riches variety of materials are available to him in the craft of knife making, as well as a Inherited ability towards knife making from his forefathers?. 

Thru research and diggings at sites like Sterkfontein, Swartkrans and Kromdraai archaeologist have found fossil remains dating between 2.8 and 2.6 million years ago of the “Famous” “Mrs. Ples”, also found was the oldest Stone tools, flakes and choppers belonging to the Oldowan Industry, which in South Africa is Associated with Homo Habilis. In deposits about 1.6 million years old, the Sterkfontein excavations also unearthed early Acheulean hand axes and cleavers associated with fossils of Homo Ergaster, our direct ancestors.
